Shallal openly alludes to racial slurs toward black people that he disagrees with publicly. He has silenced critics, ignored the voices of thousands, and to this day has refused to comment on the petition with over 1,200 signatures demanding he stop the fraudulent use of the black owned image to profit. There are numerous employees who have spoken out about the racism that they’ve faced at Busboys and Poets.
If that is what he says about black people publicly, what do you think he says about black people behind the scenes?
What if by his own words, he was “The Oppressor,” and he employs numerous black people to work for him. What racial slur do you think he would use to describe them?
